Lock up your wives “The Noble Spaniard” is coming to Keston!
St.Mark’s and Keston Players Spring production is ” The Noble Spaniard” by Somerset Maugham.
A really fun Victorian comedy, bordering on farce, the action takes place in Justice and Lady Proudfoot’s summer villa in Boulogne. Staying with them is a young widow who catches the eye of a ” Grandee of Spain ” The Duke of Hermanos, who will not take ‘no’ for an answer.
To deter him she says that she is married, which results in mistaken identities……………….

The tales of Ratty, Mole, Badger and the incorrigible, preposterous Toad have been delighting us for generations. When Mole abandons his spring-cleaning for the enchanting world of the riverbank he begins an adventure that leads to magnificent Toad Hall, to the open road, to the perilous Wild Wood – and finally to battle!Alan Bennett’s version of the classic fantasy tale is true to the original, yet written with distinctive Bennett flair.

Set in a hotel close to an RAF base during the Second World War, the
play tells the story of some of the aircrew stationed there during a
period of 24 hours including the feared loss of an aircrew on a
bombing mission and the reappearance of an old flame.

It is with much regret that we are forced once again to cancel the Quiz Night scheduled for this Saturday, 16 March. Unfortunately the few confirmed bookings that we had taken were not sufficient to make this event economically viable and it wouldn’t have been much fun for the participants either. Apologies to any of you who were planning to support this event and were looking forward to it. Tim will keep the questions on the back burner in the hope that we can find another opportunity to use them in the not too distant future.

A Drama quiz, full of questions and rounds on all those subjects we’re supposed to actually know something about. Theatre, plays, films, TV shows, that kind of thing.
The prizes will be as exciting as they usually are on these occasions; but it’s more about the insufferably smug look you’re allowed to walk around with for a while.
£8.00 a head. Come in a group or not, we’re not fussed.
